We will be driving for almost 61 hours, nearly reaching 4,014 km towards Yokohama, Kanagawa, as I try to drag the Google Maps route as close to the original route as I could. We will be traveling through Tokyo shortly after that, of course.
But I think my math is wrong here as it seems like I miss a zero somewhere, which is a BIG difference in mileage. I’d be happy if someone could correct this for me.

There is actually an order of magnitude of difference between the actual distance and the one we are aiming at in this Amazing Race. 同時に, you didn’t miss a zero because of this little secret. 
それに, we started down from Cape Noshappu along the Pacific coast, reached Tokyo around the 19.12.2024, headed down to Kagoshima, then Fukuoka and we are now going back North along the coast of the Sea of Japan. If I’m not mistaken, we should be somewhere near Matsue, on the route to Tottori.
とにかく, “it is better to travel hopefully than to arrive”.
