Bunpro JLPT Tests! New Feature, Sep 20th 2025

OMG this is beyond amazing. I am signed up for N4 test in San Francisco this December, and have been a bit worried I will be in over my head. I only started studying Japanese a few months ago, and I just this week started N4 Grammar on Bunpro. For kanji/vocab, I’m at level 15 on WaniKani. But I have not even looked at a single sample test yet, and I have no idea what to expect, hence the concern that maybe I’m being too ambitious.

I’m also really unlikely to do any form of studying that can’t happen on my phone. Device addiction is real. :rofl: So… thanks to Bunpro I will now actually get some real JLPT prep. I would subscribe again if I hadn’t already done it! :metal:

EDIT: Guessing this feature isn’t in the mobile app builds yet? No worries if not, mobile web is good enough.

I should jump into N3 test strait away I feel like!
Pity we didn’t have this function earlier when I was speedruning.
But of course I appreciate that it was emerged, no metter when!

I think this is huge for speadrunners because they basically can now do test every 2 weeks to motivate themself.

Idk, I might return for that matter.

I just restarted my Bunpro reviews a couple of weeks ago to prepare for the JLPT N2 in December, so this is quite the pleasant surprise. Thanks for all of the hard work that went into developing this!

I had to break my lurking streak to come out and say how amazing this is. Even for people not interested in taking the JLPT (like me) I can see this being hugely helpful.

And it’s free for everyone? I wish more companies drew in people that way, with generosity. Very impressed.

This is amazing! I’ve never thought of taking the JLPT for anything other than my N1 goal, because it puts an unnecessary stress on me (As opposed to being a motivator). This will let me test myself without all the real life stress and feel somewhat more confident in my level!
