Hi… how’s it going?

558,264 + 914 (a month’s worth of Bunpro) + 961 (October Wanikani reviews) = 560,139

Yep, that’s all I care to count.

Life

This last month has been rough. My grandmother had been in and out of the hospital for a while now for various reasons, but she passed away at the end of September. I’ve just felt empty since then and I’ve had a hard time doing anything halfway productive. I’ve had some other things going on as well, so things have not been good! I’m trying to force myself to do things again, like Japanese learning. It’s been hard.

ANYWAY! I’m trying to get back into serious Japanese learning since I’ve REALLY been slacking with my reading and listening. I’ll try to be consistent with counting my steps from now on.

Wow @Neon_Kitsune, that’s hard to even imagine.

Losing a loved one is never easy, and grief is something that you can never really practice.

It’s good to have you back Neon!

Welcome back. I’m so sorry for your loss. Take whatever time you need

My condolences

For a month’s worth, that’s a lot in my books, and you didn’t even quit! So you should be more kind to yourself and give some pats on your shoulder because I think you did great!

I could only imagine how hard it is to get back on track after your grandma’s passing and other things going on in your life. From how you mourn, I can tell you love her very much. The only grandma I have from one side of the family is also at that going in and out of the hospital stage, so I’m also bracing myself for the inevitable.

Don’t try to do too much when the steps feel hard. And like @chicharron said, take the time you need before getting back to your usual pace.
