Community decks completion going down?

I dont know why, but when I refresh my completion rate on random community decks or textbooks (I’m not studying them, just like to see how my progress compares), particularly grammar ones, even though the number of items in the deck hasnt changed (and I doubt the decks have significantly changed for things like Shinkanzen Master), I’ve been going down from, say, 21/200 to 19/200 or something. It is happening across almost all grammar decks. I doubt EVERYONE is modifying their decks, so I’m not sure what the cause is. Is this normal?

@Jake Yeah, something weird is going on with vocab. I am definitely occasionally losing words that I am supposed to be reviewing (is it because I am adding new decks? @IcyIceBear or @Flutter have you noticed anything similar?) I looked at the decks this morning to see my known vocab: [image] But then when I clicked the little refresh button for these, the ‘Learned’ vocabulary actually went down: [image] Another example: [image] [image]

Not totally sure, but perhaps it could be because of vocab in the “E” decks (like the “E1” deck, the “E2” deck, etc.)
Many of the “community decks” include those vocab points, but apparently those decks are slowly being phased out.

Interesting. I wasn’t sure if it was a bug or intended effect (for example maybe when my mastery went down?). Good to know it’s not just me but doesn’t seem to be any resolution. It’s happening with both grammar and vocab for me, so I don’t think it’s related to the E decks as @bunnypro suggested… or if it is, something else is happening too?

When you are learning new things or adding items to your reviews we do a rough behind the scenes calculation to add to the count as it is faster. It is possible for that count to get out of sync. When you go to a deck or use the recalculate option it gets the official count.

@Jake - Yeah, this is still going on and items are definitely getting removed.

I had every single grammar point in review for both N5 and N4 grammar, and now each have a single item missing from each.

For N5 it is ます

ます (JLPT N5) | Bunpro

and N4 it is く・に

く・に (JLPT N4) | Bunpro

Maybe you can take a look at those two examples and see why they were removed from my reviews?
I have not touched them since they were removed from my review queue.

I noticed these two points were missing last week as well. I figured they were just new grammar points created after I went through the N5 and N4 decks.

There was an update rolled out on July 30th that added new grammar points to decks at various levels including 1 new grammar point each for N5 and N4. So it’s not that these were taken out of your reviews, but that new points were added. I already knew these from outside study so I just marked them as mastered, but if you don’t know them, you can just add them to your reviews.

Ok, makes sense. Yeah, I am in the same boat where I know them at this point, but honestly couldn’t remember if I had studied them or not!
