How do I change the JLPT Level listed on my community profile?

This is something that staff has acknowledged as bugged - the automatic updates aren’t working as intended. Fortunately, making a forum post like this has usually prompted them to manually update your level on your profile!

Staff also said this bug should be fixed soon :crossed_fingers:

The fix is done but wasn’t published yet.
We’ll release it after the official JLPT test in July. Just in case the changes end up breaking something. We don’t want to risk making the app unstable while many people are preparing for the tests.

Once the fix is released, we’ll pass through every user that took the practice tests and update the community profile.

Can you make mine say N6 until the fix is applied?

It’s actually saying it’s N6 :sob:

Can we also get it displayed after the nickname if seted it up in settings?

The forum already has that kind of display functionality for nicknames and that shield icon

Maybe the level of the person could be settble/unsettble in settings, as well as the second nickname given by the admin can be choosen instead of that level (if given)?

N5 - The ability to understand some basic Japanese
N6 - The ability to distinguish between シ and ツ when it counts

Too hard. Where’s the N7 tag?

What about へ and ヘ? (One is katakana, one is hiragana)

Or 口 and ロ? (kanji and katakana)

Or 一 and ー? (punctuation and kanji)

first is hiragana, second is katakana
first is kanji, second is katakana
first is kanji, second is punctuation

does this earn me N7

I guess I just give N4 vibes. I should have specified N3.

Came across a real life example of this today

Hey yeah, I didn’t know the JLPT level was there. Mine also says JLPT N5, even though I passed the N4 practice test (and N4 in real life).

It may be because I first did the N4 practice, but one day I got bored and did the N5 test for the badge

Actually, that’s N2

N7 is thinking シ and ツ are emojis
