Losing hope after 6-7 months. I know

Thanks. I have a mental breakdown each month hahaha. Yesterday I had one, and the process is always the same. I go to my gf, talk about it, say to her I’m going to ditch Japanese and spend the time in other stuff, and the day after some of the stuff that didn’t make any sense, starts to solidify.

And the cycle starts again!

I just will say to add, even if you theoretically were to fully master all of Bunpro’s grammar points, that would probably still be just the beginning of your study!

After you have studied all these ‘rules’ you need to go and consume (books , videos, listening) - in other words go and experience all those grammar points in the wild hundreds and hundreds of time before you can really say you ‘know’ them I would say! To the point where it comes to you without thinking

Any language is a lifelong learning journey - and that goes for your mother tongue too !
I know I still learn new English grammar and vocabulary very often ! And the same goes for Japanese even though I have technically ‘finished’ to post N1 on a syllabus level…

So don’t worry about it , I say, just take your time and enjoy the journey! Seems like you’re gonna go just fine seeing you’ve already done the hardest part - taking the first step.

Have a great day

You’re welcome

If you are on a basic level, your output practicing does not need to be a conversation with a native person. I’d say look for exercises. Since you don’t have a teacher look for a textbook/workbook with provided official solutions. There you will probably have different types. For more complex exercises, I’d say chatgpt probably good enough for basic level. You can do a writing and ask it to correct you, but stick to what you have already studied, don’t get crazy on writings. It is not going to be perfect though, but in my experience it will help you advance.
