Lost Wanikani and looking for replacement content on Bunpro

I haven’t used my Bunpro sub that much, I’ll be honest. Not that I didn’t see the value in it. I was just busy and already was using Wanikani. But budget reasons have caused me to unsubscribe for the time being so I’m looking for replacement content here on Bunpro.

What could I use Deck wise to replace what I was learning on Wanikani?

It’s difficult to fully replace wanikani as Bunpro don’t teach kanji (yet :eyes: )and focus on grammar.
I think the N5 to N1 Vocab deck covers pretty mucn all the vocab and more as it contains nearly 6k words.
Start witn the N5 deck (start slow 5 to 10 words a day for the first week as the SRS will creep up) and see how it goes.
I also highly encourage you to add the N5 grammar and do 1 or 2 points a day.

Thanks! That helps! Is there a way to limit how many reviews a day I have? I can’t review every day and currently have 150+ reviews lol.

You can!
It’s well hidden in the review settings (not the general ones).

do your reviews piecemeal. 5 minutes here, 5 minutes there. whenever you find some time.

anyway, your best option as a (free) Wanikani replacement is probably Anki. there are lots of different Kanji decks available, and you can customize them to your own needs/preferences. like, I personally don’t memorize readings or stroke orders or really anything besides just the meaning, because ultimately you are gonna learn kanji as part of a word, not in isolation. learning them seperately is more of a crutch to help you recognize and remember actual words easier.
