By following the world map at the start of this thread, our Around The World race could be a cool Journey to the West that will slowly head towards Europe and America near the end (where I think the majority of community members are from). And then perhaps we could finally let it end with a blast in the country where we’re all learning its language, Japan!
Since it’s almost 4000 kilometers now, trailing the equator along the latitude from the west of Japan, we should have passed by Asia and Australia continent along the longitude by now. So feel free to share something about your country if we have arrived at your location.
The video below is my pick about Malaysia (waves to fellow Malaysians and our wonderful neighbours, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines).
Try not press play on the video yet! But if you have, you may pause for now. Regardless, it really doesn’t matter if you already went ahead anyway, eager beaver
Here’s the description under the Youtube video (in case you’re watching this on the embedded version):
Clip taken from P. Ramlee’s comedy film called Laksamana Do Re Mi that was made in 1972.
My partner & I edited this video clip and added subtitles to the music. Our intention is to share with fellow Japanese learners in Bunpro, a Japanese grammar learning tool.
Thought this could also be an interesting way to introduce the late P. Ramlee to the world; one of Malaysia’s legendary actor, filmmaker, musician, and composer. He was definitely a Japanese language enthusiast as well.
Note that the subtitle/translation isn’t fully accurate and done to suit a recent Bunpro’s forum topic: The Amazing Race AROUND THE WORLD - Bunpro Edition.
Hope this will make you learn a little bit about Malaysia and its language, while having fun with the Japanese parts within the music too.
If you’re curious about the Japanese song, it’s called 愛國行進曲。
Now you may press play and enjoy! Zamzamm allakazamm!
Ahhhh, thank you for sharing that, what a cheerful video/song Genuinely made me smile ^___^
Unrelated, but it’s funny how my daily reviews have been steadily declining since these journeys started XD

Thank you too for watching and I’m happy that it made you smile! And please don’t feel bad about the declining review numbers. You are still steadily doing your reviews and that’s all that matters! Progress not perfection
