Thoughts on MaruMori.io?

I will say it’s possible to spread yourself too thin and burn out by using many different resources. I’ve made more progress, at least in the N5/N4 tiers, by actually sticking with what I was using that was already working. I find I get a bit of a “grass is greener on the other side” phenomenon but adding resources often has ended up meaning I relearn a bunch of material I didn’t need to (because I’m a ridiculous completionist so I have to do everything from the beginning).

As long as what I’ve described above is not a trapping for you, expanding the number of resources you’re using and “trying to keep up with” daily might not be a bad thing.

I think we’re often making more progress than we think we are, it’s just that Japanese is such a beast of a language for an English speaker that the inherent sluggishness of it can very easily produce a sense of impatience.

For a lot of people on reddit.com/r/learnjapanese, their hobby is to collect Japanese learning material, not actually learning Japanese. I like Bunpro, I am very glad I got the lifetime deal a few years ago.
