I see, my bad then (I learned the basics from Genki and Tobira, I started using bunpro for N3 and above). To be fair, when I search for の, it only shows “verb nominalizer”. “The one who…, That which…” senses only appear on the lesson page – so I automatically skipped over it, and assumed the one I found is the only grammar point. I’ll edit my prev. comments.
This is one of the last lessons of N5. If you follow the bunpro path, you already know about the basic particles (が、は、も、を、で、へ、に). At this point, it’s a useless simplification, especially when you could just say “use it like you’d use the original noun”.
