I want to do 2 cards a day, that way in 1 year I’m gonna be almost over with Bunpro , is this possible?
I did 3 a day, some people do even more. So long as you do your reviews, definitely possible
It is certainly possible
It will be harder in the beginning, but if you get around N3, then it will get easier and easier (compared to beginnings).
My advice, keep doing it everyday, if you get tired, one grammar point or just few reviews will be enough. Just try to not stop, because it is much harder to start again than to continue.
Good luck!
Like @Asher and @mrnoone say, just try to do the reviews every day and try to be as consistent as possible as it makes things easier in the long run.
I think its really possible to finish Bunpro in a year, even less. To me, Bunpro is highly customisable and can be used as one wants. If you have more free time someday, you can add/study more grammar !
Just be careful of adding too many new grammar points at once as it will lead to a review hell…
From experience, its much easier to keep adding you grammar if I am consistent. If I skip a week, it would sometimes lead to a whole month without adding new grammar points he he
As this little graph shows. I reset my account before. Re-Started in December 2018:
I am currently 60 to 70% done with current grammar…
Keep in mind that Kanji, Vocabulary, speaking, writing and reading are also really important
Good luck!
It’s certainly doable, but with the way Bunpro works, you might be in a for some serious review pain over time.
The most important lesson I have learned from using various SRS systems over the past 5 years where I have often used daily lesson counts to guide me, is that it’s actually the review count you should focus on. Find out how many reviews you are comfortable with. If it gets too high, you stop lessons until you get back to your comfort level. If it gets too low, you turn up the lesson count a bit. This way you will have a consistent number of reviews per day, which is more likely to make you survive review hell in the long run.
This is really good advice. I am currently preparing for the N1 and while I am pretty comfortable with most things, I practice kanji writing daily. Since I started I have been doing 10 new kanji a day, as I am in no rush because I already know the kanji, but am focussed on drawing them and knowing how to draw them.
Recently my daily reviews has been approaching 65ish, which is becoming a little too much. I will have to drop back to 5 new kanji a day until I get it back to about 30 to 40 reviews. Drawing 60 characters (complex ones) 10 times each in a single day has been giving me thumb cramps hahaha.
I used to do 3 new grammars a day. Then I got burn out and reviews became overwhelming.
Then I stopped adding new grammars and deal with the existing grammars I had already added. Even then, the review was still overwhelming for me.
Finally I swallowed my ego, removed a bunch of grammar points from reviews and slowly added them back and then eventually took it down to 1 or 2 new grammar points a day.
What I learned from this is that:
- Grammar points are NOT equal. Some are much harder than others, take your time with the difficult/important ones like honorifics, etc.
- Use the cram feature, do it once or twice with easy new points and don’t be afraid to use it multiple times over multiple days with difficult grammar points.
