šŸŽŠ 2025 Yearly Recap (Bunpro Wrapped) & Lifetime Sale

Priorities you know. Regardless, it’s still awesome that the Bunpro team put this together. I wasn’t expecting anything, so this came as a really cool surprise!

It was a cool suprice for me exactly one year ago, and that recap was huge motivation for me to improve my scorte in the next year, i remember i calculated my avverage to be 27 revievs per day of learning and 24 reviews per day (every in a year) so I tried everyday doing minimum 30 and even recenty started keeping consistant 100 daily, boosting this year daily average to 74 per study day. Thats a huge succes and I belive that I can pomp it up to 75 that last week.

I was surprised to see this much grammar was mastered this year, I didn’t feel like I learn much, I had lots good months and months where I thought I was slowing down and making mistakes.
At least recently I feel a lot more confident though

I only did 92 days this year (new to bunpro) but I averaged 282 reviews per day!

Another year down! I looked at my reviews for the last two years and I see that I’m averaging in the 10,000’s for reviews. I really want to make it to 20,000 next year! I also wanted to finish N4 grammar and vocab this year, but that didn’t happen (had an absolute trash year). But maybe if I really push myself for the next week, I can get the grammar points finished.

Anyway, my answer to the yen question is the same as last year: run wild in BookOff!

Thanks Bunpro team for all y’all do!

I didn’t have a bunpro membership thise year, so here are my Jalup/anki graphs

I’m almost at 2,000 days

I’m still on the fence with buying a bunpro subscription because

  1. reviews are blocked on my work PC
  2. Something like JLPTdrills would be better for test prep
  3. If I can read light novels, and follow the news, isn’t it time to read light novels and put the learning about japanese away and just enjoy using it?
    I got about 1 week to decide…

Let me know if it is fixed!

@CupCakeCat14 Thanks for pointing that out.

@lunchbox1 we calculate streak and days studied for the recap differently. The recap only calculates off of existing review data. This means if you reset your account at some point, had days where you were doing cram/reading or other activities that preserve streak but aren’t actively tracked, the count can be off.

@Boogaan it won’t go up automatically but you could use this link to recalc it if you wanted.

@RiftGazing I made a couple changes to only show N1/N2 if over 5% progress is made.

If anyone is having any difficulties with theirs taking a long time to process, just let me know. Depending on how much data you have, it can be slow.

Mine is also stuck on generating. I confess, I was also a bad not bunny and tried accessing it early

I used the link to recalculate mine and it definitely updated judging by the review count, but my vocab is still showing the tiny N1 percentage.

It’s fixed! :tada:

Mine just returned internal error, but after opening the recalc link you just posted and getting a new error and waiting a bit, the original link got the results. If someone else is having the same issue they could try that. Pretty sure this happened with me last year too.

Anyways on to the actual recap. Not much to look at for me this year compared to last year since I don’t really add new things to bunpro anymore (finished grammar, vocab in anki).

Maybe I’ll be done with bunpro next year and move on.

I have around 100k anki reviews this year and my kanji is at 2850/3200 known, vocab cards went from around 8000 to 17000 and I probably spent around 500 hours studying, 2000-3000 hours immersing, I guess that’s my yearly recap.

2 Months on Bunpro. Hoping I can continue the pace and reach 100% N1 grammar by summer.

My recap has been stuck on generating for like an hour :sob:, does it just take a while if you have a lot of data?

Bunpro has been my greatest discovery in re-learning Japanese after several years of hiatus. Plus, this year I finally took the JLPT, passed N5 and am now currently waiting for N4 results! Hopefully I’ll be able to pass N3 by the end of next year.

After 5 months of Bunpro I just decided to get the Lifetime membership cuz I know I’m gonna be stuck with this app for a long time. To everyone at Bunpro, thank you for all that you do. :sunflower:

Can’t wait to utilise my knowledge in about a week when I leave for my Japan trip and celebrate the new year there!

Just started this month so I am happy with my statistics  I think I would buy myself a bowl of ramen and some ice cream!
Goal for next year is to finish N5 and and N4 + start adding vocabulary drills in Bunpro as well. All the best everyone!

I also really appreciate the community pool, I recieved 6 months from it. I hope I can use it to fund studies for this year and use that time to save up for the next year’s lifetime sale. I will consider bunpro to be a reward for me when I finish N5 and N4. :relaxed:

Awesome! Thanks again for another year of learning on this great website!

Oh, I’ve used multiple resets as a study strategy. That definitely explains it lmao.
