I’m a bit confused by the vocabulary outside of the JLPT decks, and haven’t found info about them in the FAQ, sorry if it’s out there somewhere.
Mainly when I want to add to my study vocabulary some word I find in the wild, many times it is only in some of those ‘extra’ decks marked as E, A, or Undefined, and often with the same word being in several of them.
What’s the difference between these decks? Is there some logic to their naming and their numbers? And would be better to add entries in some of them preferably, when there are similar entries in more than one of them? I remember reading somewhere that there were plans to do something with them, not sure if involving to merge/remove some? I wouldn’t want to loose the reviews status of the words in them.
Also I think would be great to have some place to see about the progress on them, similar as is possible to see the advance in the different JLPT decks, for example in the graphs of the dashboard. Maybe one additional bar in that graph, just showing the total number of words from all these extra decks combined. As of now they feel kind of a black box, where words go but not being possible to know how many or where they are to check them specifically, so I feel missing that feeling of progress that I find really motivating for the rest of vocab / grammar decks.
