Any tips for learning to write a rirekisho 履歴書

Hey,

I am writing to this wonderful community to inquire if anyone has advice about learning to write Japanese resumes.
At the point where I am (taking N3 this Winter and aiming for N2 next Summer) I keep procrastinating on reading anything that isn’t interesting to me or that isn’t JLPT practice.

In particular the essay parts of rirekisho (shiboudouki and jiko PR) are still slightly above my level and I want to focus on attaining that skill to start looking at job offers.
I’m inquiring more about any known resources for learners before I inevitably start deciphering articles in full Japanese.
If anyone also has any vocabulary lists, resources for finding examples of rirekisho, or also any advice on learning to write professional emails, I’d gladly take them.

Thanks!

I would recommend just searching in Google for 履歴書. There is nothing better than jumping into the deep end of the pool for this. Depending upon what you want to do, you can dial back the intensity. I’ve worked for an international company in jp, but that is a different beast. But if you want to work in Japan with a domestic company, you need to be at that appropriate level of communication. You can impress people on the CV, but you will eventually have to talk to them.
