I’ve been trying to access Japanese Light Novel audiobooks on Audible Japan, but it’s really hard from outside Japan. Titles from KADOKAWA can’t even be purchased due to region restrictions.
Does anyone know how to access Audible Japan content from another region?
I have the monthly subscription and I can just listen to any audiobook, including KADOKAWA ones. I’m in the US in case that’s relevant. If I remember right, I had to put a Japanese address as my credit card address, and it didn’t seem to do any actual verification of whether it was actually the address associated with my credit card or not.
Do you use US Audible or the Japanese one?
And did you put a Japanese address on your bank/card, or only in your Amazon account info?
Sorry for asking so many questions, I’m almost giving up on trying to access official Japanese content, it feels impossible.
JP Audible, and I put the Japanese address as the address on my credit card when adding my payment method. I’m not positive what address I had on my Amazon account at the time, but I believe it was my US one. And no worries about the questions, hopefully we can get it working.
Would a VPN work? I haven’t used one myself, but I’ve heard a lot about them. You might need to access JP Audible “from” Japan but changing your location with a VPN.
