So I’ve just started immersing with the “training wheels off” so to speak. I’ve begun to watch anime with no Japanese subtitles just pure listening and I was wondering if there’s any anime that have really clear dialogue, since a few of the anime’s I’ve tried watching have either had characters that speak weird or had backround audio disrupting their speaking. I’m not really picky about anything, slice of life, shounen, romcom, really anything that you believe helped your listening ability. :))
When it comes to anything outside of Shounen battle anime or complicated political and scientific themes I think they all have very clear dialogue unless they’re strong on comedy effects which tends to be abrupt and rapid.
If you want something really easy I think Shoujo romance is amazing, but I also like watching that which is really what you need to be engaged, something that interests you.

There’s not too many to pick from there though.
If you want a very specific recommendation, I thought 事情を知らない転校生がグイグイくる was cute, engaging, and had pretty simple language. Most of the things tagged “primarily child cast” that aren’t action usually are, it’s a good tag on anilist.

Try Cardcaptor Sakura. I watched this with subtitles, but I was surprised how many words I could pick up. I’m not really sure what makes this anime so easy to understand. I try after that several children’s series and there where way harder to understand.
