Ahh, this is interesting I haven’t seen a lot of apps that have integration with Anki decks. I will suss this out thanks.

The extra working room of using an iPad would be nice, even compared to just reading an ebook version of a book on an iPad directly as I find iPad OS’s context menu for looking up Japanese words clunky at best.

I think looking up words while reading might be the only useful use-case for a google glass / vision pro style device… :laughing: Might invest in a second hand windows laptop purely for yomitan support, I yomitan has spoiled me when reading things on my desktop.

Do you recall/know if Kanji study lets you create custom templates when you add to a deck, or is it just a preset card type?

I…think it’s a preset? It doesn’t ask me for any info/settings or anything when I add them. But I get pretty confused by anki’s setting stuff :sweat:

Maybe if not a specific book reading club, as I am too picky about what I like to read…
But definitely a separate thread on book recommendations (based on exact parameters, like recommended level, very short summary, overall impression, trigger warnings, etc) and maybe a book reading accountability thread?
