Bug or new implementation?

i added some context, basically in the past, if bunpro was asking about a word (like 呼ぶ) and the word was being conjugated in some way they would still accept the full word, now it’s just accepting the version that matches the conjugation, it still shows as if there was more than once correct answer (as is shown in the screenshots).

Seems to be the case, I got this just this morning. Not a bad thing I suppose

I have the same problem and don’t know how to feel about it.
I also write the dictionary form of the verb and it’s a bit annoying to suddenly have to remove ru from all the verb and rewrite it.

It’s an opportunity to practice conjugation

I came to the forums to see if anyone else had this. It isn’t a big deal but I liked having to recall the full word.
It would be cool if it wanted you to write the required conjugation, but currently it just wants you to drop the ending entirely which feels weird.

I’m split.

On the one hand, I use the dictionary form and it allows me to speed through reviews.

On the other, it is enabling a bad habit of not reading the sentence and not practicing conjugation. I’d be much more proficient of I did both of these

But, the only way I can usually get through the review pile is by speeding through without reading :upside_down_face:

I do the exact same thing :joy: I feel the same way as well, being forced to read the sentence is probably a good thing, but I find it annoying right now.

I was about to slay a ghost on the first one of these that I encountered. Now I have to go delete the ghost, but I don’t remember which word it was. :weary:

I have it to reduce the level in half :skull:

I see the use of it, i just don’t get too much out of it so if it is actually a feature i would prefer if it was opt in instead.

I have reported a lot of them as bug and they now have been fixed.
Don’t hesitate to do that too.
@Edgar-BP I am allowing a ping here as you resolved a lot of those bug for me this morning and it looks like a lof of them creeped up even though you said no update was done.

Hey everyone!

You’re not crazy, this was due to a bug introduced by me pushing a Spanish update. Since all of our items have a shared component, I overrode some of those answers. The change has been since rolled back and the affected vocab now accepts dictionary form as an answer again, I apologize for the inconvenience this caused. :bowing_man:

Thank you so much for reporting it! Please let me know if you run into this again, I’ll get it sorted ASAP.
