[BUG] Questions Disappear on Close Answer

I’ve had this bug ever since the introduction of focus mode, I just never cared enough to post about it because I thought it would get fixed by itself…well it didn’t. :stuck_out_tongue:

Here’s a gif showing the problem. Basically, if you type in a answer that Bunpro doesn’t want, the question disappears and will only come back if you move the mouse out of the webpage area (Windows taskbar, browser address bar etc bring the question back).

This is especially annoying because I type with both hands, which means I have to reposition my hands every time I get a close enough answer.

From what I can tell this only happens on Firefox, which is my main browser though. I’ve had this happen for over a year now and in this time I’ve built a completely new PC with new Windows installation, new Firefox installation (clean install with no addons) and nothing has fixed this.

It also seems like I’m the only person that has this issue though, which is weird since I doubt I’m the only Firefox user here.

I love the mouse panic after the sentence disappeared

Happens to me too, also a Firefox (desktop) user. I think it started happening when I turned on hardware acceleration (I’ll test it later). It’s weird because no other website has this issue.

Same here. But it comes back when I hit backspace to re-type my answer.
I’m glad you were able to document it! It would always come back before I could screencap it.

Tested a bit: it’s definitely a hardware acceleration issue. If you turn it off in the options (uncheck “Use recommended performance settings”, then uncheck “Use hardware acceleration”, maybe restart the browser), the problem disappears for me.

Obviously that’s not an ideal solution, but I don’t think it’s something the site admins can easily fix. It’s either bug in firefox or in the graphics driver.

@Liras348 @FredKore Do you also have an Intel graphics adapter? (for me, it’s Intel® HD Graphics 530). It’d help narrow down the problem.

I don’t, I’m on a RTX 2070 Super.
