Bunpro Beyond JLPT

I have been using Bunpro for around 6 months now and used it to study and review for the July JLPT N5 (though results aren’t out yet, I’m quite confident I passed).

However, what I struggle with is actually using my Bunpro Knowledge to make sentences. I feel like I can speak basic Japanese but I’m not utilizing everything that I actually learned. I have no Japanese speaking partners and Japanese group classes are outside of my budget. I’m anxious to see whether Bunpro actually works beyond JLPT and helps me develop sentences. While I’m okay with the SRS, making new sentences is still daunting.

Is there a worksheet or activity that makes you translate full English sentences to full Japanese sentences according to Bunpro deck lesson? If not, then what would you recommend to practice utilizing everything in a Bunpro deck?

Looking forward to feedback! Happy learning!

Personally, I do a lot of sentence writing by myself and just verify using a translate function that I’m not wildly off the mark.

You can also use the Self-Study Sentences to add your own sentences to each word, if that helps you retain words better.

I’ve been studying for the N3, and I find that just making sure you’re also reading / writing outside of bunpro will make sure you’re retaining words and learning words. I appreciate that N5 - > N4 can be a bit difficult for materials (though there are graded readers, and Bunpro also added reading passages recently!).
