although if you have the means to get it now you might as well get it now because they will prorate the unused part of your subscription off your lifetime purchase. I only had to pay 86 for my lifetime because I bought the year in july

aww man. I missed the sale. I would have bought a year subscription for my friend.
Last month she decided to give up on DuoLingo “They’re making the sentences longer, but not teaching me anything new” “Learning and remembering are different things, DuoLingo is OK while actually learning, not good at helping you remember” - Bunpro is a great next step.

Looks like my 1 year pass expired today. I want to wait for the december sale to purchase a lifetime account, so a 1 month subscription would be ideal. My subscription page will not let me downgrade to a monthly subscription. I do not have an paypal payment active.

You might want to double check if they still do this but
They pro-rate lifetime purchases against remaining value of standing subscriptions. So if wanted an easy fix you could just purchase another year, and then when the new sale hits buy the lifetime and the remaining subscription would be deducted from the grand total of the lifetime price.

Or you could do what I’d do and just dm every mod I can think of until you get what you want.
