Can self-study sentences work like bunpro reviews?

Pretty much the title. There’s a few words within my reviews that don’t have sentences. Now, I guess yes I could just use translate reviews for them, but that doesn’t help with nuances, and it throws my perfectionist self into hysterics. I’ve found that I can create self study sentences for those words but there’s currently two issues with that:

  1. The bunpro system still inserts the original word as a translation review. As in, within my review I have the sentence I created, plus the translate review.
  2. Unlike bunpro sentences that cycle through as you go through your reviews, all my self-study sentences come into bunpro at the same time. This means either I only have one sentence, which isn’t great when the word has multiple nuances; or I’m left with 8 reviews for the same word each time.

Does anyone have this same issue? What’s your workaround? Or maybe there’s a setting for this I’m missing? たすけてくれてありがとうございます。

Same issue here, plus I haven’t been able to set self-study sentences as reading type reviews ? Not sure if that’s me missing something or if it’s just not possible

I would also very much like to use the self study sentences as a way to manually add fill in the blank support for words that do not yet have it, but with the current implementation this seems impossible.

Yeah I started creating some self-study sentences a while ago but when I noticed that this happens, I went back and deleted them all.

Aww! So there’s no solution yet? What do you you do then with these words?
