In the N4 grammar deck, I can’t type anything into the gaps during exercises. No characters appear, and then the exercise resolves on its own, shows the full answer, and marks me as wrong.
What I’ve tried:
- Two different browsers (same result)
- Switching my keyboard layout from German to Japanese (same result)
What works:
- Typing in the kaiju/Godzilla minigame
- Typing in the N4 vocab deck
So the problem seems limited to the N4 grammar deck’s exercise input. I haven’t yet tested other grammar levels or a plain US keyboard layout, and I’ll report back once I have.

Has anyone else run into this? It looks similar to the earlier report where the “Your Answer” field lost focus when moving from a grammar item to a vocab item, but this time the field never accepts input at all.
