Community Decks: A7? E1? ~んだ as vocab?

That makes sense! Thank you for the explanation.
–Side note I’ve really been enjoying Bunpro so thanks for your hard work!

oh no… I fear I may have some E words in my reviews…

All going well we’ll be able to swap people’s reviews to the correct A version of the card without anything being affected.

I want to point out that even some decks made by Bunpro staff (even though they’re community decks) contain E Vocab and because veritas mentioned this same thing about E-vocab, I went and checked, and I did really find a lot of E-Vocab with no A-equivalent.

I’m sure you guys know what you’re doing though. Sounds like a tough task however to actually delete them. Good luck

Getting rid of E-Vocab will definitely improve the quality of the word-list importer by a lot

The only E vocab that has no A equivalent are kinda pointless phrases which we felt were better as single words, or honorific versions of stuff we already have (寿司 vs お寿司 for example).

Btw all of E vocab is Wanikani vocab that we were missing back in the day.

Do the A decks have actual deck pages like N5-N1? Is there a way to add an A deck to my reviews? I seem to recall links being posted somewhere in the forums but I can’t remember for sure.

You can find links to them in this post!
Also, as an update to this thread, I saw in another thread that someone from Bunpro confirmed that all “E” vocab is gone! yay!

Thanks. Are you sure about the E decks? 四 | Bunpro is still marked as E1

Yeah I have still found some E vocabulary as well…

Yeah, there are quite a few numbers which are good examples of E deck vocab.
There are many issues with the remaining E deck vocab, which I’ve been holding off on reporting, so I hope those vocab can be destroyed humanely only after replacements have been identified/made.

You’re right, I just came across some E vocab too. Maybe I had some false memory of something one of the mods said :\

Yeah, I’ve heard a few different stories about what’s going on with the E vocab

No you’re not wrong, I recall @Sean saying it as well.

It’s E vocab because it’s Everlasting and because it Endures.

I know this kind of comment adds nothing to the discussion but you just cracked me up LMAO

We do still have a tiny number of duplicate vocab floating around that missed our search parameters. The E list stuff that were flagged and merged with other content (where we kept the E version) still has the E tag on.

For example we merged a duplicate that was unclassified into this 一人 | Bunpro vocab in the E list because neither had sentences yet and the E version was studied by users while the unclassified one wasn’t.

We just need to go through and change the remaining E word classification.

Maybe we will leave just one spare E word one floating around to be the Everlasting one :joy:

Obviously the chosen word has to start with E as well:

sorry is so chuuni I’m going to go hide in a corner now

So, just to be sure, is it best/useful to report issues with any E list vocab that are still left on the site, or is it better to wait until all E tags have disappeared, i.e. all those vocab have been reclassified?

I ask because I’m still finding lots of issues with the remaining E vocab, e.g. “measure” appears 3 times here:

It’s just really important to know that word means “measure” I see no issues here.
