Is there a way (planned) for custom decks to use the more fancy review types? I recently tried the reading review type and I really like it, but it of course only works for words that have sentences attached to them. I don’t think there is currently a way for users to create these sentences themselves, and it seems impossible for bunpro to create sentences for every possible word.
I think this would be a great addition to the custom decks feature, although I am not sure how feasible it is.

Duplicate words in Custom Decks:
- On CSV import could we have the results window have an indication to say if we already have this word in another deck?
- Also a menu item on a deck to ‘remove words (from this deck) already in other decks’
It would also be nice to have a ‘stats’ readout for each deck that states how many words are which JLPT/non-Jlpt level for a quick overview of the level of the deck.

can I ask why having duplicates across decks matter? any review done for a vocab in one deck is completed across all decks. if you just did a review for a vocab in DECK1, It wont show you another review for it from DECK2. (unless of course you have ghosts on or its a beginner vocab that happens to be due during your next review session ).
anyway, the srs for a vocab is maintained across all decks

The shared progress is indeed a great design feature!
As for removal of duplicates, It’s purely to maintain accurate numbers of content collated from varying sources in relation to the expected amount of content from a deck that would be truly new - Especially in the case of mining content where a user would advance beyond having started vocab from a previous deck in Bunpro, they may overinflate later mined decks with redundant vocab, resulting in goal expectations not being met etc.

Is there any way of adding words/verbs and so on which do not exist in bunpro?
I am interested in creating a manga deck, and there are words like “フォルティチュード” which do not exist here in the data base. Thanks!

Welcome back!
Currently no, and unfortunately we have no plans on releasing a “Custom Vocab” feature.
Best you can do is add them to the JMDict project (see our Acknowledgements), and we will eventually add missing items to our Vocab.
^This has the added bonus of adding the word for everyone else that uses the JMDict Dictonary! (a lot of free dictionaries out there)
