Decks for Genki II and the new N5 Tobira 1?

Hi all,

I’ve recently returned to Bunpro after a long break and some of the updates over the last year have been absolutely fantastic! The expanded grammar notes and decks feature really add a lot of value to the product and I’m finally able to consolidate some of my many study resources because of them.

I was just curious if there are any plans or ETAs for decks for Genki II and/or the new Tobira 1 book (TOBIRA 1: Beginning Japanese | KUROSIO PUBLISHERS LEARNING JAPANESE WEB). I was considering trying Tobira due to Genki’s emphasis on group exercises but there are a LOT of grammar notes/vocab that will take forever to make into an Anki deck.

Thanks!

I don’t know if you’re asking for something else but there is Genki 2 and Tobira under ‘paths’ which is all sorted by chapter, so you can add the grammar points on here as you work though the books

Thanks, I was actually talking about the new “Decks” feature rather than Paths. Currently there are only decks for Genki I and the intermediate Tobira (and I believe that path is for the intermediate Tobira as well). There was a new introductory Tobira I book published last year that should be roughly equivalent to Genki 1 + 2.

The benefit to decks is that they include vocab as well as grammar (whereas paths only include grammar), so I don’t have to make my own vocab flash cards as I work through the book (there aren’t currently any anki decks for Tobira I). Also I am trying to consolidate my tools so being able to drop Anki entirely for Bunpro is the goal, which I can do currently for Genki I but not the others

Just wanted to bump this and see if there are any plans to add decks/paths for Tobira I: Beginning Japanese from 2021. I’m resuming my Japanese studies and I would love to be able to leverage Bunpro to supplement this textbook instead of having to bounce between several study resources (textbook, bunpro, anki, etc).

Thanks!
