Hey you fine fellas you. Title pretty much says it all. Whenever a review for these items come up, I just toss a coin to determine which answer I give.
So, what’s the difference? As far as I can tell from the description, they both basically mean the same thing, but surely there must be some nuance or specific usage?
Do they mean the same thing? I was under the impression fuu meant “style” (for example i once saw an ad for “basquefuu” cheesecake) and tte kanji means something closer to “vibe”
I am in agreement with cafelatte! I have only ever seen 風 in the context of “style” usually when describing a product. I don’t think I’ve ever heard it used in casual conversation, but you’ll hear って感じ literally all the time (usually when they are explaining something).
It definitely has “style” as a main nuance of it 和風 Italian style (I think? I was asking how to cook tuna pasta teriyaki with Italian pasta and Gemini just through that word), but I also feel like it can be used like
p1。この色は緑だと思う。
p2。そういう風に見えますが、実際にそれは青い。
p1。なるほど、緑とは、そういう感じ？(points about at something presumably green)
I’m not sure though, that I fully understand all the nuances of it, therefore I’m not sure if this used cases are completely correct, but it’s the general feeling that those words give me.
感じ you put in the end to ask or confirm that something is kind of like that.
風に is more like, I’m note sure yet I would say. I also feel like it can be used as そういう風に(完成)しました when you tell about doing some kind of action in a particular manner.
Maybe the 感じ is just about the general feeling of how things ある/いる and 風に is how they go (used with an action? Well, that definely because of に at the end)?
Anyhow, maybe anyone has other ideas?
