I’m opening this as a post since I wasn’t sure about counting this as a bug or suggestion. I recently started using custom decks, and sometimes there is so much filler vocab during Learn sessions that I started marking them as Master on the spot.
While doing so, I noticed that the website and app (Android) differ in how the Learn session behaves when doing so. If I’m learning let’s say 10 new items, this is how both platforms differ:
- On website, as soon as I mark an item as Master, the next item is displayed while the session progress bar doesn’t advance. A new item is added at the end of the pile, so no matter how many words I check as Master, I will end the session learning 10 new words.
- On app, when I mark an item as Master, the next item is displayed as well. But the progress bar advances and no new words are added to make up for that word that I skipped. If that happened 3 times, I’d finish the session learning only 7 new words.
I don’t know if the web and app are too different in their implementation (I noticed in the past a few other discrepancies that were eventually solved), as I see that the app takes some time at the beginning to fetch the items. But I think it would be nice to unify this behavior on Learn sessions, and how the website works makes the most sense to me.
Thank you again for your work!
