Similar to a number of other people on here, I’m struggling with the difference between みたい and よう. From what I understand, the meaning is essentially the same, however the former is colloquialism whereas the latter is more formal / proper. Can this distinction be made in the review (grammer point 107)?

みたいな is an adjective form, and みたいに is an adverb form.
This might be interesting read for you, since it is comparison not only of みたい and よう, but also らしい and そう。
Sorry, I think you misunderstood my post.
I’ve read that other post, and understand the difference. What I’m asking is if the grammar point 107 can be distinguished from よう in the hint, by marking it as colloquial. Like, I think this change would improve the site.
