Don't understand this sentence

Ugh, one of those days where I seem to not be able to get a SINGLE ANSWER correct. But at least most of them I understand when shown the answer.

Not this one:

What? 帰りたがる → Ok, I probably would have gotten that wrong anyway, but I can see it. What’s the ならいい? Some kind of 〜になります relation? Why would there not be a て-form before it? I’m thoroughly not understanding this AT ALL. I should just give up.

(of course I won’t, but for f’s sake today…)

Oh I see. なら, an N4 lesson I haven’t done yet. Lovely.
Mark as resolved. Sigh.

I’m happy you solved it!
You seem to be quite frustrated though…I was in the same position once as you.
Just take it slow and make sure you don’t get burnt out. As long as you stick at Japanese, you will get there eventually!

Yeah thanks. I get over it quick, just posted too hastily before searching. It’s my own fault for doing たがる out of order a long time ago. I must have seen it in reading and added it.

Tough days are part of the process. 頑張ります.

Speaking of, is there a way to mark that one “forget I ever looked at it”? I see “reset progress” but that kept it in my reviews (at beginner 1). I’d rather remove it and have it come up in the lessons when it normally would in my deck. And I’m afraid “remove from reviews” means I will never see it again.

Is it safe to “remove from reviews” and expect it to come back in my lessons?

Hi there, ‘remove from reviews’ is indeed safe for you to use here. It’ll do exactly what you want it to do. Which is, Bunpro will assume you haven’t studied it and it won’t be added to your future reviews until you’ve learned it again.

Keep up the hard work, and don’t be discouraged. We all have days just like the one you had today. :call_me_hand:

That’s me today! :upside_down_face:
Doing my kanji study and it was like, “Have I seen ANY of these before?!”

Everyone goes through it. It’s part of the process. Embrace the grind!
