I don’t know if this has been posted yet, I’ve tried searching for something similar but haven’t found anything useful
I’m studying the N5 vocab deck and I’ve been reading the example sentences for the three 人 but I think there’s a problem in the audio since instead of saying あめりかじん it says あめりかひと when reading アメリカ人
I’ve noticed it also ocurred on 時 in some sentences where it said じ instead of とき even though the context required とき
Hi! Thanks for getting in touch, and we apologize for the inconvenience! At the moment we are going though the errors in the text to speech program that we use and slowly fixing them one by one.
This TTS is a very new feature, as it never really had natural pronunciation until the last year or so. We are able to add common errors to a built in dictionary in the program, and aim to get it as close to perfect as we possibly can in the near future.
Unfortunately the licensing agreement we have for the software we use only allows one person at a time to use the program, but I may buy an extra license to fix random errors as they come like this one.
I apologize again, and we will get this fixed asap! Feel free to swing me a PM if you find anything else strange!
thanks for the answer!
the feature works super good otherwise and the mistakes are easy to notice since the pronunciation it’s stated previously in the vocab
thanks for working on it
On the topic of vocab and TTS, I’ve been working my way through the new N3 vocab deck and have noticed there are quite a lot of typos, audio errors, and furigana issues. I’ve been submitting reports as I come across them, but I feel bad spamming the team as I’ve been submitting about 4-5 per day
Should I keep submitting reports or should I start holding off? Not sure if the team has a planned QA pass and don’t want to keep inundating you guys with reports if some of the issues are already known!
