～ない～はない example sentence question

自由じゃないと絶対生きては____。[いける]
If I am not free, then I cannot live.

I honestly had no idea what this question was asking. This seems more like an example sentence for てはいけない than for ～ない～はない, except that the translation doesn’t make sense for that grammar point either.

Can someone explain to me if this is a valid demonstration of the ～ない～はない grammar point and if the translation is even correct?

You are right, this is not a correct example.

自由じゃないと絶対生きていけない。
自由じゃないと絶対生きては行けない。

Without freedom, I cannot live (cannot keep on living).

ていく means that something continues in this case(often used with ますます)。
