Feature Request: Hands-Free Audio Mode (Like Glossika)?

Hi everyone!

First of all, I just want to say that I love Bunpro so far! It’s been an amazing tool for learning Japanese.

I wanted to ask if there’s a way to use Bunpro in a more hands-free, audio-focused way—similar to how the app Glossika works.

Last year I learned Spanish using Glossika, which is an app designed for passive listening. The concept is : the app plays a sentence in your native language, then in your target language twice. This method really helped with comprehension and reinforcing sentence patterns naturally.

I think it would be amazing if Bunpro had an option to automatically play the example sentences of grammar points we’ve already learned. This wouldn’t replace active reviews but could be a great way to reinforce grammar passively between study sessions, making it easier to internalize structures in a more natural way.

Does anyone know if there’s already a way to do something like this in Bunpro? If not, would others be interested in a feature like this?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! c:

I wanted this feature since I joined Bunpro!

I too would be grateful for a feature like this, especially now with the lovely new audio! Except I personally wouldn’t want to hear the English translation. Just the Japanese sentence twice, each with a short pause after to allow for thinking/shadowing.

Completely agree, probably wouldn’t be to hard to set up a temporary thing where it just reads out the English with text to speech, and maybe in the feature the could record English. Maybe they could get it to work with Android Auto or Car Play so you can do it in the car on your drive just as extra practice.

Yeah, that sounds like a nice feature for practicing between review sessions!
