Heyo,
I used the grammar decks a bit and wanted to give initial feedback.
-
What is main deck for?
It says, I can only have one, and that it will be the default when “studying”, but I don’t see a study link anywhere. If I want to work on a grammar deck, it seems I still have to click on “Decks” and select that one. It’s not even shown at the top, so I’m not sure what this config actually does. Maybe for mobile/app users? -
Keyboard navigation is not complete.
When studying new grammar and using the arrow keys to scroll around, the “#start-quiz” overlay does not react to “ArrowRight”. Pressing the left arrow will bring me back to the last grammar point, but pressing right, does not bring me to the quiz section, instead I have to switch to the mouse to click that button, only to go back to the keyboard to type in answers.decks
Additionally, when starting the quiz and pressing “ArrowLeft” I get sent to https://bunpro.jp/undefined.
Continuing after passing the Quiz also leads to that page. -
Page doesn’t scroll up, when going through the grammar points
While studying, when pressing the right arrow, we go through each section of the grammar points, explanation, example sentences etc. But if I read through the explanation until the bottom and then go to the next section like that, the page does not scroll up and I stay at the bottom, reading the last few example sentences.
I’m not usually a fan of automatically scrolling from where the user placed the screen (it happens here sometimes) but in this case, I think it would make sense. -
No undo during the Quiz.
I know, since we don’t lose any SRS levels, since the grammar points aren’t added yet, false negatives or typos don’t matter in that respect, but as someone who constantly misspells stuff, automatically pressing backspace only to have nothing happen and then wait for the grammar point to come back is unexpected and feels pretty annoying. -
I can’t see what lesson the grammar point is from
Since the deck doesn’t seem to follow the bunpro lesson order fully, I find myself wanting to know where the grammar I’m currently studying is. Minor thing, but not sure, why it’s not present.
EDIT:
- I didn’t find a way to mass-complete items in the decks. For the vocab decks it would be very helpful to be able to do this quickly, since learning the items, then clicking on them, then clicking “I know”, is pretty bothersome.
