Genki comparison

Hi:

Usually for many of us the normal recommended path by teachers and other students for passing N5 and N4 is the Genki series, and its also the path my teacher is giving me, im actually reviewing and practicing Genki II.

So i was curios and decidedto make an old fashioned comparison of Genki I & Genki II vs what it actually covers on actual JLPT (this comparison is all based on bunpro, surprisingly there were some N3 grammar points in some of the Genki Books ), its very rusty and it doesn’t look very nice or anything.

I don’t know if there is missing grammar points of the Genki series, or if it definitively its not covering many N4 topics. I would really appreciate your opinion.

Also this is a feature request, i think it would be great to compare the different paths in terms of how much a path is able to cover a JLPT level and that way we can use that to information to decide which path we want to take. (Some of us study with a teacher, some use only bunpro for grammar and some do self study).

All in all i wish you all the best in our way of studying japanese and share this bit of information with you, hopefully this will be useful for some.

Cheers

@cbaidon45 thanks for taking the time to do this. But both of the file links no longer work.
Do you have another link?

Not exactly the answer you were looking for, but there’s websites out there that aggregate all the JLPT N* grammar points required. I’ve never taken a JLPT test before but the websites seem to be pretty much in agreement of generally what’s asked. You can then use these lists and the grammar paths Genki I & II on here to cross-reference and see which (if any) are missing.

etc.
