I’ve been using Bunpro for around 6 months at this point now, and have gone from basic N5 knowledge from Genki, all the way to over halfway through N4 grammar (117/176), in preparation for the JLPT N4 in a few weeks. So take this from the perspective of a semi-beginner.
In this period of time, I’ve had an extraordinary amount of reviews every day as I kept getting ghost reviews over and over, and never quite understood the point of them, especially as I would just memorize the prompt and not effectively memorize the grammar point. As of a few weeks ago, every day I’ve been resetting all ghost reviews, and I’ve found that my retention has actually improved, and my amount of reviews has obviously decreased.
I believe it would be much better to mark the entire grammar point as a ghost/leech, and give different prompts instead of the same one on repeat to avoid the “memorizing answer” issue instead of the grammar point.
Does anyone else have a similar experience to me? Or alternative experiences? I’d love to hear if I’m wrong about ghost reviews or doing something incorrectly!
