Hard pause after incorrect answer

Usually whenever I do reviews, after I submit an answer I just press enter twice out of reflex. The problem with this is, if I get something wrong, I often barely even see that I go it wrong, let alone being able to see the correct answer to see what I did wrong.

On WK I’m using a plugin that automatically gives you a timeout for like 2 seconds after you submit an incorrect answer, and in those 2 seconds you can’t advance to the next item even if you press enter. Is something like this possible on Bunpro? And if not, could it potentially be added? Thanks!

That would be really cool! I also do it sometimes.

What plugin are you using? I am having a similar problem, so maybe that would help me with WK too :’)

It’s “Double Check”, in the settings there’s a “mistake delay” tab, honestly I think all the options available there would be great to have here on Bunpro

This isn’t a direct answer to what you’re looking for, but maybe you could click submit with the mouse rather than using the keyboard shortcuts? It might be more difficult to accidentally double click rather than double tap the keyboard. Totally know what you’re saying though as I do this once in a while as well…

I agree this would be a lot better, but with the amount of reviews i get across WK and BP each day, speed is really important to me, so switching between mouse and keyboard all the time isn’t really an option to me. Thank you a lot for the suggestion though!

Have you tried using Lightning Mode? It allows you to move forward with one enter press if you answered correctly, but requires two presses if you answered incorrectly. Then, you would only need to get used to pressing enter once after each review.
You can activate it in Log in | Bunpro

Oh right, this explains why this problem only came up now. I was using lightning mode for a long time, but I found that with grammar reviews, I often wanted to take a look at the grammar point even after answering correctly, so I switched lightning mode back off. So it’s kinda like no matter what option I choose, I’ll skip things I wanna take a look at, which is kind of unfortunate…

Ahhh, so we have been using the same plugin :hatching_chick: I thought that there’s a new one with more features, but this one really does its job! I really like it, I also use the “anki mode” too, and they really fit each other, because they give you different types of reviews just like here :japanese_ogre:
