See title - I was wondering if anyone has removed grammar points from your reviews for any reason other than you know it.
I just made the decision to remove the ざるを得ない and related “archaic” items. I’ve never seen them in the wild and they’re constantly tripping me up in reviews.
nope but that is a great idea! I am also getting tripped up by those archaic ones
I haven’t. And I’m not sure how you’ve never seen ざるを得ない. It’s not rare at all, just formal.
In general I don’t think anything on bunpro is too rare or too archaic. It’s the other way around, I keep finding patterns that it doesn’t teach.
I have.
When I’m in pokemon collecting mode for grammar, if I’m reading for example, and I come across an N2/N1 grammar point I might have added it ‘ooo new grammar’. This is because I’ve stopped following a path and doing lessons per se - now I just add new grammar as I come across it.
But if that N1/N2 grammar is a synonym for something in the N4/N3 range and I trip over it a lot in reviews, then I remove it.
If I come across that N1 grammar frequently I might add it back, but I definitely was in the habit of just adding everything I came across no matter the frequency.
