Help me make sense of a speech bubble please?

The context here is that these two are two different people reincarnated as siblings. The sister has a mental breakdown and wants to do something and the brother tries to convince her she shouldn’t do it. I have a problem with the bubble saying:
どの口でって自分でも思う
Makes absolutely no sense to me and available English translation doesn’t help (seems to be totally off the mark).
微塵でもわからない
Is anyone able of making any sense of this? Thanks!

I don’t really understand it, but I tried to look it up:
どの口が言う means for example “are you in any position to say that?”
Maybe it is a contraction of that and then with 自分でも思う it conveys
something like “I even think myself that I am in no position to say that”.

Please correct me though, as this is just my (un)educated guess on that

Crap maybe I should have googled it first myself but sometimes I just forget.

I am pretty convinced you are right, って can be a contraction of と言う and in this case it makes sense for it to be, and then the translation suddenly makes sense (at least for this bubble). Also で could be used instead of が because がって looks kinda weird even for my eye, so maybe it would be unnatural. Thank you very much, I am satisfied now!

どの口でって = from which mouth
自分でもおもう = I think even if its me
都合の長い事を言ってる = I am saying something convenient
自覚はある= I am aware
けど = but

So my guess, “You don’t want to hear something like this being said, even if it is coming from me. I know I am saying something convenient, but…”

But as always, I’m not even close to an expert

Hey there, @Sumerechny !

As @Atheon has mentioned, どの口が言う is a phrase in Japanese that is used to mean ‘you are not in any position to say that’. This phrase is usually used towards someone else, but it can be used on yourself when you are talking to/about yourself.

A more direct translation of this would be ’ Even I know that I’m in no position to say this. I am aware that I’m saying something that is convenient for me (something that only benefits me)’

Hope that helps! :sunglasses:
