Help transcribe and translate this brief Japanese conversation from my Tokyo trip, please? 😊

Hey everyone! I’m just starting to learn Japanese and had my first stroll through Tokyo recently. Turns out my phone was accidentally recording, and it caught this short, interesting bit of dialogue that I can’t quite make out (a faint male and a female). If any native speakers or experienced learners could help transcribe the original Japanese text and provide an English translation, that would be awesome! I’m still in the early stages, so this is a fun way to practice and skip ahead a bit when time is short. Here’s the audio clip (just 16 seconds): [brief dialogue]. This one is tricky since the sound is quite muffled. The guy’s part is barely audible and to me sounds like he is saying 「もうね」as to what the hell he means I have no idea. I’ve heard people complain like this, almost like “enough already” but I’m not entirely sure as there isn’t enough to go on really.

As for the woman, it sounds like 「もう一回行けるよ、いい？」which I take to mean we/you/I can go again/one more time. Is it okay?

Unfortunately without any other context I have no real idea and can only speculate as to what exactly they’re going to do one more time, and my manchild brain is way too imature to continue speculating in a SFW manner so this is as far as I go.

If you remember where you were when this was taken it might help you narrow things down some more, like if you were at a theme park maybe they meant a ride or something.

Disclaimer, I am not Japanese so I might be completely missing the mark here. If I am not mistaken, @Fuga and @Haruna are native speakers and might be able to help out some more.

Thanks a lot, drunkgome! :blush: Your take on the muffled 「もうね」 and the woman’s line as ‘we/you/I can go again/one more time. Is it okay?’ is really interesting—I’m early in Japanese, so this helps me practice and skip ahead a bit!

Oh that’s interesting, I heard the guy as saying “昨日ね”

Thats an interesting take. I’m not 100% convinced on my もう but I can’t hear the き here at all. I’m really curious what the natives say here. It’s so muffled

I have listened to it several times, but I am not sure what the man is saying. Every time I listen to it, it sound like the man is saying something different.

To me it either sounds like そのままでいい？(is it fine as it is?) or 都合が悪い？(is that inconvenient?).

It sounds like the man is slurring his words so it is kind of difficult to know for sure what he is saying, especially without context. To me this is like the ‘Yanny vs. Laurel’ situation.
