How can I practice Japanese verb conjugation (forms, tenses) with Bunpro?

Hello everyone,

I’m currently learning Japanese, and Bunpro helps me a lot.
The tests and fill-in-the-blank sentences work really well for me.

I was wondering if there is a way to do the same thing for verb conjugation,
for example with a set of verbs and different forms (negative, past, volitional, etc.).

Ideally, I’d like to keep the same repetition system and fill-in-the-blank format that I can practice anytime.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Your best bet in-house is to try to fiddle with the cram tool (practise → cram, found in the menu on the dashboard)

Otherwise you might want to take a look at this thread for more options (outside of bunpro) on how to practise conjugations

We do have a tool for this. It hasn’t been released yet but is close to being done. I can share the link if you want to test it out.

Would I be able to also test it as well? Conjugations are one of those things I still struggle to do on the fly, and keeping everything mostly within Bunpro would be great!

You can use a verb conjugation drill like this one Don's Japanese Conjugation Drill to practice the conjugations.

I’d personally recommend this. I think Bunpro is not really suitable for this.

Can’t wait. Surprised to hear it.

That sounds awesome, any chance I’d also be able to test it out?

Is there an approximate release date or quarter of the year possible release date?

I use chatgpt for this kind of thing all the time. Just ask it to create a quiz to practice conjugation, describe your vocabulary limits (eg. keep it under JLPT N5) and specify the forms you want to work on. Not only do you get a quiz, but you’ll get feedback on your responses and can hone in on problem areas.

Hi Jake. Could I please get the link to test this as well? Thanks.

Could I give this a try as well? Nearing the end of N5 and tripping up on different conjugations is slowing me down. Would love to be able to drill it more directly within Bunpro instead of having to go elsewhere.

Same here. I’d like to be able to drill conjugations.

So far I’ve made my own Anki deck for it but it’s time consuming, I’d rather have it be directly on Bunpro.
