It says in the settings that “The settings of your individual Decks will take precedence over your Default Review Type set here.” Do I have to change the settings of the individual decks or something? I’m doing the regular bunpro n5 deck

uh i think you need to change the answer type to reveal + grade which will then allow you to select reading

Where you Learn the item from determines what the Review Type will be.
If you Learn from Deck A, that item will use Deck A’s type.
If you Learn from Deck B, that item will use Deck B’s type.
If there is no Deck present when Learning (or manually adding) an item (e.g. from a Vocab search or the All Grammar page’s batch-Learn feature), it will default to the one in the Review Settings.
