How do you use Bunpro to Support your Studies?

Hey y’all!!

I’m new to bunpro and wasn’t really sure how to use it or use it in a way that will help me the most.

I’m currently using Wanikani for my kanji studies. Did take a little 2 month break but I’ve been using it daily for around 6 months. I’m at Lvl 7, but that’s because I sometimes pause in lessons because reviews are a lot or cause life got busy.

For grammar, I’m currently working though Genki I at the moment.

So if you guys have any advice please do impart your eternal wisdom on to me :sweat_smile:

first of all i’m jealous that you have wanikani, i wish i could have it :weary: :joy: (no okane)
honestly i use it as my MAIN source of learning grammar, i literally passed the JLPT N5 just by using it alone! i didn’t use any textbooks or whatsoever, i just went through all the jlpt n5 grammar and passed without any issues, it was really a godsend! i struggled with grammar a lot but when i started using bunpro it was just a miracle, trust me mate! you don’t need any textbooks if you have bunpro! just use it everyday just like i do and you will improve in no time, i use it EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! f*ck i want wanikani so bad :expressionless:

welcome to the cause.

Hey @angietom31! Welcome to the community, hope you have a great time here.

The basic idea of Bunpro is to help you study, internalize and review grammar and vocabulary through SRS (Space Repetition System, just like Anki or WaniKani).

If you want a clear-cut path that supports what you’re already using, why not give Decks a shot?

They provide both the vocabulary and grammar that’s inside of Genki in the same order you’re being presented to them in the book. We also offer our own in-house, in-depth explanations for each Grammar Point, often covering more than what you might find in a textbook!

Any progress you make on these Decks will be accounted on other Decks, like our N5/N4 Bunpro Decks. You can use this to study literally 100% of the Grammar and Vocab in N5 to N4!

To access them, you need to opt-in to the beta (we’re getting closer to moving it out of beta soon!) in your settings.

So, to summarize, using a deck that matches what you’re already learning might be a good way to get started. And you can always just ask in the forums!

Welcome and happy studying!
頑張ってね!
