I just found out that bunpro has vocab now apparently. How does this compare to the jlpt tango books? The vocab lists from n5-n1 have 9200 words from what I can see on bunpro. The tango books have 10k total. I’m wondering if there’s any real difference between these? I bought the tango books to learn every word in them (I don’t want to hear about how I should immerse instead. I’m doing that too I just find srs fun) but I’m wondering if the list that bunpro has is better or something. Basically, which should I do if I’m going to do one? I’m not too invested in the tango books yet (I’m on like word 300/10k. Just started a bit more than a week ago).
I don’t have those books, but with an 800 word difference and no official jlpt list to go off of, they’re gonna be basically the same.
The the only major difference is content quality. I’ve heard of those books, so I know they’re good and worth while. But do they have their own srs platform? With multiple example sentences that cycle through (in native audio that’s currently being processed and released)? The ability to cram those words any time you like? Cross referencing those known words percentages with decks for anime/books/games so you’ll know exactly where you stand with them?
Honestly, you can’t go wrong with either list of vocab. Just use whichever you think you’ll enjoy more. If you really can’t decide, make a bunpro deck for your books. Best of both
