How to change the days studied counter?

Hello everyone!

Is there a way to change the number of the days studied counter?
Mine should be at 367 today, but it got only to 361 after doing my reviews for today (Started May 12th, 2024, so including both May 12th it’s 367 days). After looking on my stats the reason seems to be that I didn’t know about how the counter works and I had a few days in 2024 when I didn’t do the needed tasks for the counter, but read through the grammar points manually in the decks. So I was still studying, but not in the eyes of the counter, I’m afraid.

I already tried to change it via changing the study streak number, but other than accidentally unlocking a batch, nothing changed regarding the days studied counter.

Is there any chance to “correct” the counter, or do I have to live with my mistakes of ignorance? :sweat_drops:

Since no one answered, I assume it’s not possible?
Currently, I adjusted my streak count so it’s at the amount it should be. But I’d love to have the days studied at the same amount.

As far as I’m aware the counter only goes up if you actually do reviews that day. Considering it’s a number that means nothing though, I really wouldn’t worry about it.

I’ve somehow ended up with my streak counter 1 day higher than my days studied, which should be impossible. I’m not sure there’s a good way to fix it, though.

If seeing two different numbers really bother you, then you can go into settings and hide your streak count. So only your days studied will be displayed, with no number discrepancy visable to you on the dashboard.
Out of sight, out of mind, no?

Unfortunately, not really, since the days studied is lower than it should be which I won’t forget, just because I didn’t know how that counter works last year. Plus, I like how the streak counter changes its design when you did what is needed for the counters and therefore does remind me to never let that happen again. So I’ll have to live with the differences.

Sorry for the delay. I had to make the 367 trips to the local mountain that has the Bunpro shrine to the Japanese study gods but you should be good now.

@jhoeksma I also fixed yours.

Hi Jake,

Would it be possible to lower my day studied counter to equal my current streak too? Not really a big deal, but it kinda hurts to see the discrepancy every day XD

Thanks. Of course this puts me one day further away from my streak badge, but it just kind of bothered me that I seemed to have an impossible streak counter. How does that happen, anyway? It happened around the time I travelled to Japan, so I wonder if changing time zones and countries and vacation mode had something to do with it.
