I tried finding the setting for this but I really don’t wanna be hinted on the vocab word here. Anyone know how to turn this off so it doesn’t show up? Thanks
It’s part of the actual sentence. It’s not programmed in as a “hint.” It’s there because you are being tested on the conjugation, not the vocabulary.
That’s understandable but wouldn’t it be ideal to come up with the corresponding word yourself and implementing it based on the sentence? I feel it’s literally giving me the answer thats all.
As this is a grammar point, the purpose of the review is just to test the grammar. If, for example, someone didn’t know the vocabulary being used then it would be too punishing for them to be marked as wrong simply for that, even if they knew the grammar.
Equally, the translated sentence can be hidden in the settings, meaning it would be impossible to know what word is being used without revealing the translation (which may be considered a spoiler or cheating if someone wants to do their reviews with no English to help them). There is also the added factor of the English translation corresponding to various Japanese words, in some cases.
