How to "skip" certain vocabulary in a deck?

I’m currently studying Genki II, and have selected the Genki II deck to study my vocab and grammar in that order.
I would like to skip some annoying vocabulary (currently, the vocab about bank procedures, e.g. “passbook update”, “balance inquiry”, etc.).

What’s the best practice to postpone these words, and learn them e.g. in 1-2 years?
If I select “remove from reviews” and take the next “Learn” lesson, they will come back in the next Learn session, which I don’t want.
If I select “mark as mastered”, I won’t be able to learn the words later when I feel ready, which I also don’t want.

You could switch to the grammar only deck of Genki II.
Then you can add the vocab you want by opening the vocab + grammar deck and adding them manually to your reviews as you’re progressing through the chapters of the book.

Thank you, that sounds like a good plan B.
I would have to manually add hundreds of words though, while I’m going through Genki II. If there’s no other way, I’ll do that I guess, but I hope I can skip words in a deck somehow.

Yeah. My suggestion only really stands if you feel that you have to learn the vocab through Genki, which I personally don’t see the need for (would just use Genki for the grammar). Using Bunpro’s own vocab decks would be better.

And if you like manga check out this site and use the browser extension 10ten Reader to easily translate and learn vocab through immersing. Many good manga titles on that site, and I think the specific manga I linked to would be a good starting point for you.
よつばと - it’s about a cute little girl living with her father. A nice slice of life manga.

Hi, maybe mark them as mastered but also bookmark them for the future

I had this same exact problem and suggestion because of the bank vocabulary lmfao. As of yet still no way to set skipped vocab within a deck or across decks. Hoping for this feature when custom decks roll out :crossed_fingers:

Why skip vocabulary though? Wouldn’t it be used for practice questions in the textbook if it’s being taught?
