Whenever I type “zu” I get ず. (I’m copying and pasting from a hiragana website) What can I type to get づ? Thanks for the help!
Typing “du” will give you the character づ. Japanese input can have some non-intuitive quirks, so it might help to check out a quick video or guide on typing in Japanese to get more comfortable with the system! Happy studying!
This is perfect thank you so much!
Hi!
I leave this reference here, just in case it might be useful for other instances.
HTH!
Funny that you consider it unintuitive, as it is completely intuitive in my language. I am from slovakia and we have a letter “dz” (yes, that is one letter) and if I add “u” to make “dzu”, that sounds exactly like japanese “づ” And “ず” would be written as “zu” in slovak, again every intuitive.
These are phonetic languages, where letters represent sounds. Even romaji is phonetic English is the culprit here, it uses weird pronunciation.
