Came upon this review question for the あの grammar point:
Says the sentence means “That beautiful person over there is Tanaka-san” but isn’t there a です or だ missing at the end?

Yes, this is missing a です at the end of the sentence, but omission is something that is very common in Japanese when it comes to だ, です, and various particles.
In 99 out of 100 situations where something is omitted, it is because it would either be obvious from context or there are no alternatives to the thing that is missing. For example, when a particle is omitted, quite often it will be because no other particle would have been able to be used anyway, so it does not need to be stressed. Kind of like how we would say ‘I am going home’ in English instead of stressing ‘I am going (to go) home’.
