I’m having trouble reviewing these topics since I don’t seem to understand how to differentiate each one from another:

I understand there’s differences in formality or even specific nuances, but I don’t seem capable of remembering or applying the clarification notes on each review to find the correct answer.
Sometimes it’s funny because the app replies with “Use a different form”, then “Use a more formal way of saying this”, then “That is very formal, try a more casual way to say this”, then “That’s the most casual form, can you try a slightly formal way to express…”
Is there any advice you could share?
